Terms

What Chimeby agrees to do, what you agree not to do with it, and what happens when either of us stops.

What this is

This is the agreement between you and Chimeby. Using Chimeby means you accept it. If you are signing up for a company, you are saying you may agree to this on its behalf.

It is written to be read. Where a sentence could be short or thorough, it is short, and anything genuinely important is in its own section rather than buried in a list.

What Chimeby does

Chimeby watches public threads for the words you choose, scores them for whether the person is looking to buy, and writes you a first version of a reply. That is the whole of it.

It does not post. There is no button, no setting and no paid tier that publishes a reply for you, on any platform. Every reply is copied by you, pasted by you and sent by you, from your own account, after you have edited it. Chimeby will not even let you copy a draft you have not changed.

Chimeby has no follow, unfollow, direct message or upvote feature. None exists in the product and none is planned.

What you may not do

These are the ones that would end your account, and they are here rather than in a longer list because they are the ones that matter.

  • Running several accounts in rotation to spread your replies around and get past the caps. One person, their own accounts, used as a person would use them. Chimeby exists to stop the volume game, and using it to play the volume game is a breach of this agreement.
  • Using accounts you bought, rented, borrowed, inherited or aged for the purpose. The account you reply from has to be genuinely yours.
  • Using Chimeby on behalf of clients without saying so. Agencies are welcome, but every reply has to disclose who it is actually for, and an account may not be presented as an ordinary community member when it is working for somebody else.
  • Vote manipulation of any kind: asking for votes, arranging them, trading them, or coordinating with anyone else to put replies up or push them down.
  • Using Chimeby to get around a platform's rules, a moderator's decision, a ban, a block or a filter.
  • Posting anything unlawful, deceptive or harassing, or impersonating anybody.
  • Reselling Chimeby, or wrapping it up as your own product, without a written agreement.
  • Trying to take the caps off, whether by editing what the product sends, by using the interface in ways it was not meant for, or by asking somebody at Chimeby to do it for you.

If any of those happens, Chimeby can pause or end your account. Where it is a mistake rather than a pattern, you will hear about it first.

Your replies are yours

Chimeby writes a first version. You change it, you decide whether to send it, and you send it. What appears under your name is your writing and your responsibility.

That includes following the rules of whatever community you are replying in, and it includes disclosure. A reply that names something you are behind has to say that you are behind it. That is the law on endorsements in most places, not a preference of Chimeby's, and the safety check will not let you copy a reply that names your product without it.

You keep every right in what you write. Chimeby needs permission only to store it, show it back to you, and check new drafts against it so that no two replies read as the same person.

The caps

Chimeby runs 25 safety rules before it will let you copy a reply. They are identical on Free, Founder and Team. Nothing you can buy moves them.

An account owner can tighten them for their own organisation. Nobody can loosen them, and asking will not work. If that is not the product you want, this is the wrong product, and that is said here rather than discovered later.

Chimeby may tighten a rule for everybody, at any time, when a platform changes or something turns out to be riskier than it looked. That is not a reduction in what you bought. It is the thing you bought.

The caps reduce risk. They are not compliance, they are not permission, and no platform has reviewed or agreed to them.

What Chimeby does not promise

Chimeby cannot promise that your account will be fine. No tool can. Platforms remove comments and suspend accounts for reasons they do not publish, and moderators decide what belongs in their own communities.

What Chimeby promises is narrower: it will hold you inside the numbers described on the trust page, it will tell you when a reply would break one, and it will never post anything itself.

Chimeby also does not promise that a thread will be found, that a draft will be good, or that any of it will make you money.

Chimeby depends on other people's services. When one of them changes or goes away, part of the product may change or go away with it. Where that is Reddit, the section below says what happens.

Paying

  • Plans are billed monthly or yearly in US dollars, in advance. A year costs ten months.
  • Tax is added at checkout. Stripe works out VAT and GST from the address you give and collects it there.
  • Moving up takes effect at once and is charged for the rest of the period. Moving down takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Cancel whenever you like, from Settings. You keep the plan until the period you paid for runs out, and there is no cancellation fee.
  • If a payment fails, Chimeby emails you and tries again over the following week before anything is paused.

If Reddit access is lost for more than 72 hours in a row, every paid subscription pauses on its own, unused time is credited, and a pro rata refund is yours on request. You do not have to notice it or ask for it for the pause to happen.

Ending it

You can delete your organisation from Settings at any time, behind a typed confirmation, with a 30 day grace period in case it was a mistake.

Chimeby can end an account that breaches the section on what you may not do, or that has not paid. Where a breach is serious, such as running accounts in rotation or manipulating votes, it can be immediate.

Chimeby can also stop offering the product. If that happens you will get at least 30 days' notice, a refund of whatever you have paid for time you will not get, and an export of everything you hold.

When an account ends, the privacy page says what is deleted and when.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. A change that affects what you may do, what you pay, or what Chimeby promises is emailed to every account owner 30 days before it takes effect, and carrying on using Chimeby after that is how you accept it. If you would rather not, cancel and you will be refunded for the time you have not used.
